Re: tenergy 05
In fine, uite ce mi s-a raspuns:
1. its a fantastic setup... im using teny on both sides of an aucostic ST blade.
but personally i feel its really really really really great if you boosted tuned or optimised your tenergy first so that you can get more feeling for the ball.
the feeling is really fantastic.(although its going to be illegal to boost as of 1st jan 2009.)
2.I have pulled this review of mine from another thread and just updated a little:
I have made the change from Roxon 450 2mm both sides on an Acoustic to Tenergy 2.1mm both sides. I liked the Roxons very much as I was on my second set in a row, first time I have replaced the same rubbers).
I have been using Tenergy for about 3 months and this is what I have found so far:
One main reason I changed is that I was looking for a rubber with a bit more control and dwell time on the back hand for flicks and rolls, I found the sponge of Roxon a little bit hard on the Acoustic which is quite stiff.
I am not sure if the Tenergy has a softer sponge than the Roxon, but it certainly has a softer feel.
The Roxon is excellent for loop driving, which is a main part of my game, but I have a lot of difficulty with slower spinny loops which I am now trying to add to my game. The ball seems to slide off the Roxon, I have read somewhere else that someone had the same experience. This is not a problem with the Tenergy as so far it seems to brush loop and loop drive very well.
Serving with Roxon is very good, serving with Tenergy is excellent. Tenergy seems to be able to generate a bit more spin than Roxon with a lot less effort.
Tenergy both sides of Acoustic ST works out to be 183grams and is a little head heavy (which is how I like my blades) and feels very solid blocking and pushing.
With light set ups I feel like I need to put a lot more energy with a bigger swing to speed up the shot, with this set up the same result can be had with more compact swing and quicker recovery.
I have not experienced any lack of power from mid distance and actually find the Tenerey more reliable from further as it dips more towards the table when swinging harder. I have noticed the real spring effect of the Tenergy further back from the table.
Just my 2 cents, hope it can shed some light.
Tenergy is still going strong after 3 months, now requires a little spinmax every week or two to keep it fresh.
I Highly recommend this combo!
Deci se pare ca totusi tine de feeling-ul fiecaruia!
