This is a special version of Globe 999 rubber designed for Chinese National players.
RED Globe 999 National version rubber (orange sponge) is used by Ma Lin.
BLACK Globe 999 National version rubber (blue sponge) is used by Kong Linghui.
The Globe 999 is still used by many of the top Chinese National players (eg. Ma Lin, one of the top players in the world uses a Globe 999 series rubber). Because of the great control this rubber offers, it's also been very popular with some of the top defensive style players. Globe have made a few more improvements of this very popular rubber over the years. The Globe 999 N-in is the latest version, with improved durability and playing characteristics. This version with the new soft sponge is also much lighter than traditional chinese rubbers.
